The Lakers are blessed with some great young talent and on Friday two of their young stars represented the team at All-Star Weekend. D’Angelo Russell and Brandon Ingram were members of Team USA at the Rising Stars Challenge, as two of the best first- or second-year players in the NBA.
First came the player introductions:

Then came the actual game. Russell showed out in a big way, showcasing his flashy passing and making the game exciting in the second half. He scored 12 points and added four assists. Ingram finished with only four points and three rebounds.
Here’s a full highlight video of D’Angelo’s best plays from the game.
But the real highlight of the game came from Ingram, despite his lowkey effort on the court. He was interviewed on the bench by Blazers’ guard C.J. McCollum who asked the forward if he and D’Lo had an agreement about passing to each other.
Ingram’s answer was legendary:

Neither Russell nor Ingram were able to come away with MVP Honors as Jamal Murray and the World Team won the night. But Ingram’s great answer and Russell’s passing and shooting were enough of a great representation of the Lakers’ bright future.
