Larry Nance, Jr. out indefinitely, further testing coming on Sunday

The Los Angeles Lakers received uncertain news regarding Larry Nance, Jr. on Wednesday. The power forward will be out indefinitely following an MRI in Miami on Wednesday.

The MRI revealed a bone bruise, but further results were inconclusive given the swelling in his knee.

Nance suffered a left knee injury in Tuesday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets. The sophomore appeared to hurt the knee without any contact. He was immediately carried off the court and into the locker room.

Initial X-Rays came back negative but the team had to wait on an MRI on Wednesday to accurately evaluate Nance’s status.

Nance notably tore his ACL during his junior year at Wyoming but that injury was suffered in his right knee.

At the conclusion of their road trip on Sunday, the Lakers will have another MRI on Nance’s knee to further diagnose the injury.
