Laker Film Room Episode Four: How Luol Deng fits in

The Los Angeles Lakers headed into free agency with a simple task in mind, sign worthwhile veterans who can impact the game as well as the locker room. Last season it was well documented how ugly the teams locker room was at times and with a new coach in place, things had to change.

Luol Deng is a player the team has had on its radar for many years and they were finally able to snag him this summer. Deng and the Lakers agreed to a four-year, $72 million deal which would give the 31-year-old swingman an opportunity to help mentor Brandon Ingram and some of the other young guys.

With Luke Walton coming in and implementing more of a free flowing offense and Deng playing well in small ball lineups last season, the on court product should be far great than last season for the purple and gold.

In the latest “new” episode of Laker Film Room on Luol Deng, which was previously taken down, Pete looks at Deng’s fit within the Laker system with new footage and further breakdowns.
