Plenty has happened in the last two-plus weeks for the Los Angeles Lakers. Back on June 23, the team drafted a player they hope can become a cornerstone for the new generation of Lakers basketball, and they also drafted Brandon Ingram.
Okay, all kidding aside, adding Ingram and second-round pick and fan-favorite Ivica Zubac gave the fan base plenty to be excited about heading into free agency on July 1st. The Lakers then followed that up by adding veteran players Timofey Mozgov, Luol Deng and Jose Calderon while re-signing Jordan Clarkson, Tarik Black and Marcelo Huertas.
Next up now for the Lakers is a trip to Las Vegas to participate in NBA Summer League action, beginning on Friday night against Buddy Hield and the New Orleans Pelicans.
How will this year’s free agency impact the Lakers moving forward? I was joined by our own youth movement to discuss the 2016 NBA Draft, free agency and preview summer league play.
