Up until maybe a few days ago, it seemed foolish to believe that the Los Angeles Lakers could end up with a record that is worse than the Philadelphia 76ers, subsequently netting them the worst record in the NBA. Now, it almost feels like it is bound to happen. After losing 114-91 to the Chicago Bulls on Thursday, the Lakers have now lost eight straight games and 12 of their last 13 overall. The one win was a four-point victory at home against the 17-28 New Orleans Pelicans, who were without Anthony Davis.
The Sixers are currently at 7-40, with the Lakers hot on their trail at 9-39. Philadelphia is 6-10 in their last 16 games, so it is clear who is currently playing better basketball. Next up for the Lakers is a Friday night “road” contest against the Clippers.
Gary is joined by Honi and Jacob to discuss the loss to the Bulls, Pau Gasol, D’Angelo Russell trade rumors and Shaquille O’Neal getting a statue outside of the Staples Center.
