Heading into the 2015-16 NBA season, it seemed as though things could not get any worse than the previous two years for the Los Angeles Lakers. This was supposed to be a fun season as fans witnessed the growth and development of their three young hopeful cornerstone pieces: D’Angelo Russell, Julius Randle and Jordan Clarkson.
Instead, it has been a nightmare. The team is off to a 2-9 start and on pace to surpass last season’s level of misery and log the worst campaign in franchise history.
Okay, it is early, and the core of this team is very young and should continue to improve as the regular season progresses, so maybe things won’t end up being that bad. But as of right now, head coach Byron Scott is not a popular man in the city where he won three championships as a player.
What do you think? Should Scott be given some more time with this young group, or is it time for the Lakers to move on and replace him at the helm?
