As many of you may have heard, former Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom has been fighting for life over the past few days. His condition at first was not favorable, but as of today, he is coconscious and is breathing on his own. According to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.Com, Lamar no longer “has a breathing tube, a source told ESPN. He is wearing a breathing mask and remains in critical condition, however.” Additional reporting from USA Today revealed that Odom was “responsive to communicative attempts from his estranged wife Khloe Kardashian at a Las Vegas hospital on Friday morning, according to Odom’s college basketball coach Jim Harrick.”
Lamar was in a coma as of Tuesday night, after being found unconscious and unresponsive in a Nevada brothel. Steadily over the past few days, his condition has been improving, slowly. He is still under intensive care, but the small signs of improvement leave some room for optimism.
