The Lakers lost 117-114 in overtime in what was a fun game with a bit more intensity than a normal preseason game.
Notable performances:
Julius Randle had 16 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals. He shot 7-12 from the field and 2-6 from the free throw line
Roy Hibbert finished with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and went 8-10 from the free throw linw
Lou Williams had 20 points while shooting 4-12 from the field and 12-12 from the line. He grabbed five rebounds as well.
Kobe Bryant had 13 points and three assists in 20 minutes. He shot 5-9 from the field and 2-5 from behind the arc.
Jordan Clarkson played 28 minutes and had 12 points, three rebounds, and two assists. He went 5-10 from the field and 2-4 from downtown.
Additional notes:
D’Angelo Russell left the game after a hard fall. He would not return, but his injury (bruised glute) is not considered to be serious. It was reported that he could’ve/would’ve returned if it was a regular season game.
Brandon Bass also was injured. He slammed his knee on a camera on the baseline, was down for a few minutes, but would walk off on his own power. He returned to the game.
