The wait is over. D’Angelo Russell hope to follow in Magic Johnson’s footsteps. He hopes to be the opposite of Javaris Crittenton. He hopes not to be murdered by Kobe Bryant.
More than anything, though, his hopes have been realized. He is a Laker.
Now, the Lakers move on to focus on building their frontcourt. Byron Scott has to figure out a way to find minutes for Russell, Jordan Clarkson and that Kobe guy.
The exciting aspect of all this is: The Lakers are better. If Russell pans out, this will be the last trip to the lottery in quite a long time.
