Rajon Rondo will not play in tonight’s game against the Timberwolves due to “hamstring soreness“. Rondo hurt his hamstring on Wednesday against the Trail Blazers and was unable to finish the game. I would expect Alex Caruso to get big minutes tonight, and if needed Quinn Cook should get some playing time as well.
The Lakers are 20-3 and are trying to continue their winning ways against the Timberwolves. Losing Rondo hurts because he has been a great creator and surprisingly great shooter this year, but the Lakers have enough talent to beat the Timberwolves without him.
The teams other injured guard Avery Bradley is progressing and there is a chance that he is “probable” this Wednesday against the Magic. Hopefully both Rondo and Bradley return soon so we can finally see the team at full strength.
