The Los Angeles Lakers made some waves in the build-up to the 2018 NBA Draft, trading a future second-round pick and cash to the Philadelphia 76ers for the 39th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.
The move gives the Lakers a trio of draft picks and opens up a host of possibilities whether it be through drafting players themselves, combining the picks to trade up for a player (potentially Zhaire Smith) or packaging the picks with Luol Deng to shed the contract.
