Laker Film Room Episode Six: Reviewing Ivica Zubac in Summer League

With the 32nd pick in the 2016 NBA Draft the Lakers selected Ivica Zubac, the 7-foot big man out of Croatia. Being just 19 years of age and playing internationally, Zubac was a major unknown for most people who didnā€™t follow the draft intensely.

Many scouts praised the team for this selection as they believed the Lakers were able to add possibly a lottery level talent early in the second round. Larry Nance, Jr and Jordan Clarkson have proven that the team has the ability to find hidden gems late in the draft. With his LVSL play Zubac might just be another name to add to the list.

In the sixth episode of Laker Film Room, friend of Lakers Outsiders, Pete Zayas goes in depth on the first look fans got ofĀ Ivica Zubac during his five-game stretch this summer. The breakdown covers a wide variety of #Zublockaā€™s game but spends the most time analyzing his rim protection, post up offense, and Ā pick and roll defense. All three of these are massive holes thatĀ Ivica has shown he has the potential to fill for the purple and gold.
