Podcast: 2018 NBA Draft Recap; Lakers select Moritz Wagner with the 25th pick

Just like we all totally expected, the Los Angeles Lakers selected Michigan big man Moritz Wagner with the 25th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.

Okay, not really. The Lakers surprised a lot of people with this pick, going with another big man late in the first round.

In the second round, the Lakers dropped another surprise, taking Isaac Bonga out of Germany with the 39th pick, a selection acquired in a deal with the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday. To round out their 2018 NBA Draft class, the Lakers selected Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk with the No. 47 overall pick.

What can the Lakers expect from their rookie class next season? Will they all be on the opening night roster or will any of the rookies be traded?

There are a lot of questions that need to be answered as the Lakers prepare for free agency. Gary is joined by Jacob and Kyle to break down Thursday’s picks made by the Lakers and what to expect moving forward.
