At long last, the 2018 NBA Draft is here.

After trading for yet another second-round pick, the Lakers were set with three potential selections in the draft, giving them flexibility in their assets and ability to add more young players to an already youthful core.

That process started in the first round where the Los Angeles Lakers selected Moritz Wagner with the 25th overall pick.

Wagner averaged 14.6 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game last season while shooting 52.8 from the field and 39.4 percent from beyond the arc and 69.4 percent from the line.

Listed at 6’10, Wagner is a good fit in the Lakers’ system with his spacing system as a big man. Wagner shot 160 three-pointers last season, hitting 63. For his career, Wagner shot 38.5 percent from behind the arc.

Wagner helped Michigan to the National Title game in April, averaging 19.5 points per game in conference games and 15.0 points per game in the NCAA Tournament with 7.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.2 steals.

The Lakers also have the 39th and 47th overall picks in the draft.
