WATCH: Larry Nance Jr. hammers home putback, alley-oop dunks against Clippers

While his inclusion in the starting line-up has been quite a talking point much of the preseason, Larry Nance Jr. made a nearly immediate impact in Thursday’s season-opener.

In typical Nance fashion, the high-flyer hammered home the Lakers’ first points of the season off a missed shot by Brook Lopez.

Moments later, Nance added another dunk to what will be a long list this season as he helped turn defense into offense, slamming home Jordan Clarkson’s lob.

Nance has had his game criticized this preseason as he’s struggled to contribute offensively. However, if given space, Nance can still fly high to the rim and put any player in the league on a poster.

The Lakers have a plethora of options in the frontcourt, but it was Nance who played his way into the starting line-up this preseason. If he can continue making plays like this on a regular basis, it may be hard to keep him out of the starting line-up.
