WATCH: Kyle Kuzma, Julius Randle connect on flashy pass and dunk

There’s been a lot said about the power forward battle in Los Angeles so far in preseason. The Lakers entered the year with two incumbent young big men in Julius Randle and Larry Nance, Jr. and then added Kyle Kuzma to the mix. The rookie, selected 27th overall in the NBA draft, has been a revelation thus far, showcasing an incredible scoring ability that was previously untapped.

For all the talk about whether Kuzma, Nance, or Randle would be the starter this year and into the future, the three guys all seem to be playing within their roles. At times, they have even played together and shown some flashes of brilliance.

Case in point, Kuzma and Randle connected on a sick highlight in the first quarter of the Lakers’ final preseason game against the LA Clippers. The rookie leading the break and dropping a no-look pass to a cutting Randle for an easy slam is exactly what we want to see from these two:

Kuzma and Randle have played together a fair bit during the preseason and it’s mostly yielded positive results. This is just the latest example. Hopefully, they can carry this chemistry and momentum forward into the season.
