Paul George’s off-season has slowed down a bit. His name popped up everywhere after he notified Indiana of his intentions to leave after his contract ended. He has also been linked to the Cavaliers in a bevy of trade-scenarios. Eventually, the draft passed by without him being traded. There’s something new now.

According to Kelenna Azubuike of NBC Sports Bay Area (h/t 95.7 The Game), George has reached out to Klay Thompson about playing together in Los Angeles. The sharpshooter’s contract ends in 2019.

It’s clear after the D’Angelo Russell trade that the Lakers are interested in signing two max-level players with their cap space next season. If this report is to be believed, Paul George is interested in bringing some help with him to Los Angeles.

It’s not a bad idea to go after the Warriors by weakening the Warriors.
