With the 42nd overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Lakers have selected Thomas Bryant out of Indiana.

Heading into Thursdayā€™s draft, the Lakers held picks No. 2, 27 and 28 as a result of the trade with the Brooklyn Nets that sent Dā€™Angelo Russell and Timofey Mozgov in exchange for Brook Lopez and No. 27 overall. The Lakers then turned the 28th pick into the 30th and 42nd pick by virtue of a trade with the Utah Jazz.

Thomas Bryant joins Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart to round out the 2017 NBA Draft class for the Lakers, adding four new prospects to a team with a considerable amount of youth already. Bryant, a 19-year-old big man, measured well at the 2017 NBA Draft Combine at 6ā€™10ā€ with a 7ā€™6ā€³ wingspan and a 9ā€™4ā€³ standing reach.

Bryant left the Hoosiers after his sophomore season that saw him average 12.6 points and 6.6 rebounds per game while shooting 38.3 percent from the three-point line.
