How to Enter the Lakers Outsiders 2017 NBA Mock Draft Contest

The 2017 NBA Draft is just a few weeks away, and mock drafts will be coming out everywhere. Before June 22, though, you can make your very own 2017 NBA Mock Draft and send it to us to be entered in the 2017 Lakers Outsiders Mock Draft challenge! Here’s what you need to know.

In order to enter:

Entry is free for all participants. To be eligible to join the challenge, all you have to do is go like Lakers Outsiders on Facebook. You can download our MOCK DRAFT CONTEST SHEET HERE. Just fill it out with how you think the first round will turn out, then send us your finished mock before the draft officially airs on June 22 either via messaging Lakers Outsiders (just send the attachment) on Facebook or by emailing us at lakersoutsiders@gmail.com. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU PUT BOTH YOUR FIRST AND LAST NAME, ALONG WITH EMAIL ADDRESS.

If you have Microsoft Word, you should be able to download the file from Google Docs. If you do not have Microsoft Word and are unable to download the document, you are more than welcome to just send us a written email with the order and your picks.

The Prize:

Whoever tallies the most points will win a $50 gift card for the NBA Store online. If you end up winning the contest, just provide us your address and we will mail the card to you. If multiple participants end up tied for the most amount of points, we will do a random drawing for the winner, live on the Lakers Outsiders Podcast on YouTube

Scoring System:

3 points:

Right player, right pick number.

This is if you correctly predict what pick number a player will be selected. If a team trades into that pick number and selects that player, you would still get 3 points.

2 points:

Right player, right team, different pick number.

For example, if you have Portland selecting a player at No. 15 overall, but they end up taking him with the 20th pick instead, you would get 2 points.

1 point:

Wrong player, right position, right pick number.

For example, if you have the Lakers selecting a certain guard with the No. 2 pick, but they pick a different guard, you would still get one point. For this, the positions will be treated simply as guard, forward and center. If a player is listed as two positions, such as PF/C, and you have that pick being a different power forward or center, you will still get one point.
