Sources: Paul George “hell-bent” on joining Lakers

Update: Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Indiana has passed on trading Paul George.

The original article is as follows:

Hell-bent.

Paul George and the Lakers, as well as the Celtics, have been in the news in the last 24 hours. George has made it well-documented that if he is not contending for a title in Indiana, he has his sights set on Los Angeles. Today, that was reaffirmed by USA Today’s Sam Amick.

It has been sent throughout the NBA. Usually with every Lakers big name rumor, it’s just used as leverage. But with this rumor, those involved have been doubling-down what seems to be every eight hours. George’s Laker fascination has been dominating the NBA world over the last day, a fascination which is reciprocated by Los Angeles.

The Lakers have been longing for a star, a billing which George could fit. As the trade deadline has rapidly moved, the Pacers are not moving their star player. George is a free agent in 2018, where Magic Johnson’s Lakers will surely do their best to get him to join them. George’s admiration of Johnson has played a large part in his interest in Los Angeles.
