Podcast: Lakers dominate Knicks with new starting lineup

The Los Angeles Lakers decided to switch things up when they took on the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Monday. Head coach Luke Walton had hinted at the idea of going with a new starting lineup recently, but he finally pulled the trigger on Monday, inserting Brandon Ingram for Luol Deng, while sliding Tarik Black to the five and sending Timofey Mozgov to the bench.

The change paid dividends right from the start, as the Lakers jumped all over the Knicks and never looked back, cruising to a 121-107 victory. The win ended the long 12-game road losing streak, dating back to the team’s last win away from STAPLES Center on December 16 against the Philadelphia 76ers.

What can we expect moving forward with the Lakers prioritizing minutes for their young players? How will the veterans handle a reduced role for the rest of the season? The guys got together to talk about the win and what lies ahead.
