Podcast: Lakers dominate Warriors, 117-97; Time for greater expectations?

We are barely a week into the NBA season, and the Los Angeles Lakers have surprised many people once again in the early stages of the season.

The last two seasons, fans were left asking: Can the Lakers really be this bad?

Early in the 2016-17 regular season, however, everyone is starting to wonder just how good this young Lakers team could be this year, not just down the road. Los Angeles started off the year with a brutal six-game stretch against opponents that were predicted by many to be playing postseason basketball in April. While many expected the Lakers to be lucky to go 2-4 in that stretch that included four road games, they now sit at 3-3 with some easier opponents forthcoming. Not to mention, all three of those losses were very competitive and there for the taking late in the fourth quarter, but the team was unable to close them out.

After crushing the defending Western Conference Champions 117-97 on Friday, is it time to expect bigger things from the Lakers this season?
