Laker Film Room: Laker-Kings Preseason Breakdown

The Lakers opened their preseason on Tuesday with an ugly win over the Sacramento Kings, a game that featured an ugly first half and a big second half comeback.

The game did feature a markedly different offensive and defensive approach under Luke Walton, but also featured a Laker squad that appeared to struggle grasping the concepts of Walton’s system, an expected hurdle given the overhaul the team has went through.

In his first game breakdown of the actual season (sorry Summer League, you don’t count), Pete Zayas looked at the game, each player and why the Lakers might not have been as bad as they looked originally.
