Report: Lakers sign Travis Wear to camp deal

WOJ BOMB.

Just kidding.

As the Lakers are starting to fill out their training camp roster they have just added another name to that list, former UCLA Bruin Travis Wear, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.

Wear is a 25-year old, 6 foot 10 small forward who has some experience in the league with his 2014-15 stint with the New York Knicks. In 51 games the Long Beach native tallied 3.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, and shot 36 percent from deep. Travis spent last season with the Spanish club Gipuzkoa after a poor showing in summer league, but will again be vying for an NBA roster spot.

Wear will fight for a roster spot but at this time he seems to be on the outside looking in with the plethora of bigs on the purple and gold. Although, when LeBron James faces off against the team there might be a key role for Wear as he has been pegged as a “LeBron stopper” which is something the roster is currently lacking.
