Original story:

Let the games begin. Free agency is here and the Lakers are in the running for an NBA Champion, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of the Vertical.

The Lakers have a gaping hole at center, and Mozgov is one of the Lakers preferred choices in free agency. Mozgov did not have a great deal of playing time last season and won’t come with a hefty price tag. Mitch Kupchak and co. are making Mozgov a priority.

When Tyronn Lue took over in Cleveland, Mozgov’s playing time went out of the window. It will be interesting to see his fit in Los Angeles if they come to a deal.

The Vertical podcast ranges Mozgov’s value at around $12-14 million.
