Podcast: Lakers land No. 2 pick again; Options in the second round?

The Los Angeles Lakers appear to have lady luck on their side lately. First, they watched Kobe Bryant drop 60 points in the final game of his career, leaving the NBA speechless one last time. Then, the team was able to replace Byron Scott with arguably the top coaching candidate on the market by bringing Luke Walton back to Los Angeles.

Finally, after facing a 44.8 percent chance of losing their top-three protected first round pick to the Philadelphia 76ers, the Lakers had the ping pong balls bounce their way again, netting them the No. 2 overall pick for the second straight year.

Lakers Twitter exploded with excitement, knowing the team will have a chance to draft either Ben Simmons or Brandon Ingram, the clear-cut top-two prospects in the 2016 NBA Draft. Gary and Honi are joined by Grant Goldberg (@grantgoldberg) to discuss the potential with the No. 2 pick, the No. 32 pick, and what effect they could have on free agency in July.
